sustainable industry in foreign countries. The resources are valuable for program
managers, staff and their advisors. Many efforts are underway to share best
practices among the many foreign aid programs around the world, and lessons learned and
described in these sites are invaluable.
- Development Experience Clearinghouse of USAID
enables you to search thousands of references to USAID's world-wide projects and reports.
- The Development Executive Group is a
leading global membership organization serving firms, non-profit corporations, and
individual professionals working in the 100 billion euro international development market.
- The Virtual Library on
International Development is a primary source of documents and resources for the study
of the international aid and development process.
- Development Assistance Committee of the
OECD has many online documents that review lessons learned in international development,
covering topics such as environment, gender, etc. It presents consensus guidelines from
the committee members, who are national foreign aid programs.
- The Information Services for Development page
links to six major databases covering development topics and publications.
- AID GATE is a site
with links to many international development resources. It is in English, French and
German.
- Capacity.Org is a web-site dedicated to
advancing the policy and practice of capacity building in international development
cooperation.
- The Earth Council is an international
non-governmental organization (NGO) created in September 1992 to promote and advance the
implementation of the Earth Summit agreements. It operates the Earth Forum to promote
dialogue and provides access to many policy statements on sustainability. Their project
focus is primarily on Latin America though they have several global initiatives.

the developing world.
