Instructors

Burton Hamner chaired the session on Clean Technology and Investment at the UN Global Summit on Sustainable Finance at UN Headquarters in New York City in October 2005.  Burton has 15 years of consulting and training experience for organizations around the world.  He is an international consultant and trainer in sustainable business and industrial pollution prevention, and has conducted green assessments of hundreds of businesses.  He specializes in cost accounting and project financial analysis.  He has been an MBA professor of operations management and of management accounting at two international business schools and conducted a global study on financing clean technology for the Asian Development Bank.  More than 5000 industry and government managers around the world have attended his informative, interactive and entertaining workshops and conference presentations on sustainable business for practical people.

Gil Friend is principal consultant of Natural Logic Inc. and a nationally recognized speaker, author and consultant on business environmental management and sustainable performance.  Based in the San Francisco Bay area, Gil will show how to partner with local organizations as well as management tools that really work.
