For over 20 years a growing number of businesses, motivated to improve their environmental performance, have been making sustainable and profitable changes. They have created new tools and strategies in every aspect of operations: Product and process design, accounting and finance, teamwork, communications, management systems, purchasing and supply management, and more.  These are business solutions to eliminate waste and inefficiency and improve environmental performance and health.  Businesses have also been learning how to work together for sustainable growth in eco-industrial parks and resource exchange systems. Government and development agencies supporting sustainable business have provided technical assistance and documented these stories and the lessons learned. Now there really is enough evidence to understand what is a sustainable business.

This public seminar and workshop has two objectives: To give participants 1) an efficient and entertaining summary of the key lessons learned in sustainable business, including who can help them now, and 2) an opportunity to discuss together what sustainable business could mean to the Grays Harbor community.
